Nokia Cameras

The cameras that you can find on the phones made available by Nokia are so high performance because they are the result of the combined work of Nokia and Carl Zeiss. Maybe the most impressive mobile phone camera that you will find on a Nokia smartphone is the one integrated in the Nokia N8. This smartphone screams high quality starting with materials used and ending with the technologies that were integrated. That’s why you will be amazed by the 12-megapixel camera that’s able to deliver the photos you were expecting from a mobile phone.

This Nokia camera is able to impress due to its many features and capabilities. The list starts with the hardware because the mechanical shutter and the glass lens that comes with Car Zeiss optics as well as the dual Xenon flash and the image sensor couldn’t be more wisely combined. Because of this combination you will most likely forget about separate digital cameras and will keep using your Nokia N8’s camera even for taking pictures at special events.

However, without the right software this camera would lose many of its advantages. For example, the large image sensor would normally generate large image files, but due to the software available the work of this sensor is properly compressed. The photo won’t lose quality, only size. That means you will be able to share it via Facebook or email. That’s important because nowadays social networks have come to be the favorite communication method of many.

To be fair when talking about the capabilities of this Nokia camera, we also need to take into consideration the downsides that haven’t failed to affect this camera. A first downside is that no tripod mechanism is available. Considering that the N8 is famous mostly because of its camera, it seems only natural to hope that all details have been figured out properly in order to allow this smartphone’s owners to use to the maximum the outstanding 12-megapixel camera provided. Another downside is that the Nokia client that you are supposed to use in order to connect to Facebook and Twitter only supports low resolution photos that will never show the true potential of the amazing camera you are using. Software wise, we feel the need of a native panoramic mode that seems to work nicely on all Samsung Android phones.

The main upside that I forgot to mention is that this camera can be used for recording videos as easily as it’s used for taking photos. With its help you will be able to enjoy recording 720p videos and sharing them with your friends via email or after you transfer them on a computer.
