New Virgin Mobile Phones

Each phone carrier tries to attract as many customers as possible by including in its offer the most amazing phones. This tactic is also being used by Virgin Mobile, because in 2011 its new phone offer is more than impressive.

My first example is the Motorola Triumph that has been recently included in their phone offer. It’s a good looking smartphone that comes with a 4.1-inch touchscreen, 2GB of internal storage and an acceptable price of $300. On the exterior you will also notice a 3.5mm headphone jack, a micro-USB and a useful HDMI line. To reveal the battery and the microSD card you will have to slide a certain section of the back cover. The entire device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that runs at 1GHz and by 512MB of RAM. The performance provided by this processor is not at all disappointing, because benchmark tests have shown that it keeps up with the LG Revolution and the HTC Thunderbolt, its closest competitors. Another attraction of this smartphone is its 5-megapixel camera that’s able to provide 720p videos and quality photos. Another plus of this phone is the front-facing camera that makes this phone attractive to those interested in video calls.

Another choice that has attracted many customers is the LG Optimus S. For your money you will get a 3.2-inch TFT LCD screen with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels, a Qualcomm processor that runs at 600MHz and is paired with Adreno 200 graphics and 512MB of RAM. The connectivity chapter is also well covered considering that we are talking about a budget phone. There’s Wi-Fi b/g connectivity available as well as Bluetooth 2.1 and AGPS. For those of you who love taking photos, LG also included a 3.2-megapixel camera that also features autofocus and it’s capable of capturing VGA videos. The only feature missing is the flash, but even so the Optimus S still does a good job when it comes to taking photos in low light environments. On the whole this is the perfect device for an inexperienced Android user and it’s also budget friendly.

Also available from LG and part of Virgin Mobile’s phone offer is the LG Saber. This is a lightweight phone that comes with a handy keyboard for writing messages. It’s not an impressive phone, but it offers the basic functionalities of a phone. What it doesn’t offer is support for instant messaging and e-mails. Another downside is the poor photo quality provided and call quality that could use some improvement. In the end it all depends on what you want from a phone.
