history-of-mobile-phones We use mobile phones but there are a few of us who know who was the person who first invented the mobile phones? Well, the person who invented this portable device was Martin Cooper. It was invented in 1973 but it had to pass ten more years in order to have the first commercial portable device. The first device didn’t receive the approval because it was too big, so people had to work ten more years in order to receive the approval to launch it one the mobile phone market.

They had to produce a more aesthetic portable device, because the first one it was too heavy. Beside the fact they were “huge” these first portable devices were quite expensive. So, we can say that not everybody could afford buying one such device. The wealthy people were the mobile phone buyers. One such device used to cost almost $3500 the equivalent of the today $7400. So, one can say that the first portable device could be characterized by two simple words: expensive and heavy. The first mobile phones, Dyna Tac were true rocks.

If it wouldn’t have been for these Dyna Tac mobile phones, the mobile phone market wouldn’t be what it is today. If the first mobile phones impressed us with its dimensions, the actual mobile phones impress us also with their dimensions. But this time their dimensions are so small that one forgets he has a mobile phone. That’s how small they are. The mobile phone market has done impressive progresses. And that’s how things should be. It would have been strange the mobile phone market to be the same as the one 20 years ago. Things have to progress, and not just in the mobile phone market but in all the areas.
