You guys are so wrong! Nokia is going to launch the new N8 which has a 12 mp camera sensor and it is better at taking pictures than some digital cameras out there. Just Google “12 mp camera cell phone” and you will see some sample pictures taken with the Nokia N8 to prove I’m right. Besides, it is awesome to have a multifunctional cell phone because you don’t have to carry around dozens of devices with you and your cell phone can be used to listen to music, watch movies, browse the web and it can replace even a laptop at times.

I agree with Anne 100%. Nothing can compare to a digital camera when you need to take pictures. I mean, even if you have a cell phone with a good camera sensor, taking pictures on a regular basis is going to drain the battery a lot faster and you will be left with a useless phone and have to charge it every day. Trust me, I bought a cell phone to listen to music and I have to charge it once every 36 hours. It’s really annoying and now I am going to buy an mp3 player to listen to music and get another phone strictly for calling and sending text messages.

I always believed that if you want to be able to take decent pictures, you have to buy a digital camera. But my boyfriend bought the Sony Ericsson K800 for himself and that device shoots the most amazing pictures I have ever seen. I don’t recall how many mega pixels it has but it sure is a cool device and we are not planning to buy a regular camera in the future. The bad part is that this kind of cell phone will run out of battery a lot faster compared to mobiles which don’t have so many high end technology features. Anyway, I guess it is better if you just use a cell phone for the regular cell phone functions. You may want to buy a mp3 player if you want to listen to music or a digital camera if you want to take pictures.
